It is a useful tool in isolating and characterising biological contamination. It is helpful in routine qualitative & quantitative analysis.

Identification organic and inorganic compounds in solids or liquids mixtures, polymers, polymer blends, rubbers, forensics, pharmaceuticals (Drugs), food, flavors, oils, paints, pigments, inks, resins, adhesives, and coatings. Indirectly uses in verification the trace of organic pollutants on surfaces.
